Nara and Kobe
Nara is famous for the eight stunning temples that make it a UNESCO World Heritage site. A perfect place to wander for a day and enjoy not only your surroundings, but the wildlife. Deer roam freely, protected as National Treasures and fed by visitors. Kobe is a port city and the sixth largest city by population in Japan. It was the epicenter of the 1995 Earthquake, which took it’s toll on Japan. Both cities are an easy day trip from Kyoto.
