Gyeongju
Taking a break from the modern metropolises of South Korea, Gyeongju preserves a different era in Korean history as the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla (57 BC – 935 AD). Beyond laying the foundation for modern Korea, it offers a vast number of archaeological sites and cultural artifact. Gyeongju is often referred to as “the museum without walls”.
