Hualien
Taroko Gorge was established as a National Park in 1986 and is a stunning example of Taiwan’s natural beauty. Located in Hualien it is a scenic train ride from Taipei and well worth the trip. In about 60 kilometers the landscape rises from sea level to some of the tallest peaks in Taiwan at over 3400 meters.
