Edfu and Kom Ombo

Two of Ancient Egypt’s best preserved temples, Edfu and Kom Ombo, are must-see sights of Egypt. Edfu stands tall as it did when it was built over 2200 years ago complete with ceilings, intricate carvings and scale that has to been seen to be believed. Kom Ombo enthralls visitors as a temple to the crocodile god, Sobek, a human-crocodile image, and even has a crocodile mummy museum. Short trips from Luxor, both of these temples are well worth the trip.
